I have long wanted to convert my old 1950's nissen hut styled corrugated iron leaky small garage (it would have just about been large enough to park an old Ford Anglia or Poplar in it when it was built!). So, I need to start from scratch! design, foundations, build, source with electricity from the house, then fill up with man toys!....I've only lived in my house for 19 years, so I suppose I've had enough time to think about it!....I've got some ideas of what I want and I have enough floor space. here in the UK we have bylaws which restrict us to a maximum of 30 meters sq floor space for out-buildings before we need planning permission...So I thought here would be good to read some ideas and experiences of others....
