    Foot Operated Jack

I took this photo several years ago and came across it recently when I was organizing my photos. Anyone ever seen one or know exactly what they were used for?

    Drive up ramps

I hear you. I have some Arthritis as well. I too look forward to growing older for a time.

    Drive up ramps

Convenience. I am 67 and like easy. I have used a sheet of masonite and cardboard in the past. As one gets older you look for easy and convenient. I am sure I am headed to the point where I will be paying someone to do what I once could do.

    Drive up ramps

Without a doubt safer, but prices the same as good jack stands - $214 for RR-56? Would not work under a car on jack stands! Well to each his own. Important thing is to have your auto safely elevated when working under it. I keep a good selection of short 4x4, 2x4, & 2x6 lumber on hand. Yes...

    Drive up ramps

Just looked them up and I would agree! Out of my budget for something I may use twice a year.

    Drive up ramps

Maybe I am too cautious, but I could not work under a car on that.

    Drive up ramps

Don't have the room in front. Too much other stuff there. I would be part way out the door if I did as you suggest.

    Drive up ramps

Changed oil today on the F150 using my drive up ramps. Worked well and now I can slide under the truck running boards on a creeper. Raised the back wheels as shown as well to level out the truck.

    Drive up ramps

Well I only drove up on them once, but no problem with them sliding. I have a two piece ramp similar to the plastic ones the gentleman uses with his wooden ramps above, but they would slide as I tried to go up on them. My problem with the truck is with the running boards on I cannot go under...

    Drive up ramps

It has been some time since I first posted the ramp inquiry. Thought someone may be interested to see what I ended up building. Over all length is 4". My F-150 goes up the ramps nice without pushing them.

Re: Show us your cool, "old" drill press Yes, bench top DP. Oil Impregnated Bronze bushings with a shoulder pressed into the 4 step sheave. I will try and get a good shot of it tomorrow. A few posts back I do have some photos of it before the modification.

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Here is another Craftftsman 103.23640 benchtop drill press for the thread. Just bought it earlier this week and have done some cleanup of the drill and worked at making the cabinet it is fastened to stronger.
