I like a full size compressor for the few times a tire needs to be filled. Those little units get it done eventually but hey...when you need it you need it. But given the circumstances it would seem all electric would do the job.
If there is room for it anywhere in the basement room there is always copper pipe to reach it. I would find an acceptable spot in the basement and run a line into the garage.

Well from what I can see it appears the entry door is elevated.? If so I'm guessing there is a crawl space, or even better a basement of sorts. If so here is how I tackled getting my compressor out of the garage. My garage shares a common wall with our basement.

Our house has a, square hip?, roof so the side the door is on has a small section of roof that it supports. The ceiling joists do run toward the door.

Wondering if anyone has installed a taller, 8', door on there garage.?.
I have plenty of height to go with a taller door and would really enjoy the extra clearance for my truck. Currently I have a 7x18 door and clear the opening, with the weather stripping removed, by about 1/8".
