Working under your lift - stand or sit?

Aren't those Recaros hard to come by these days? I always lusted over those seats when I first saw them back in late 70's. Okay, disregard. Just did a search and they still sell them, although not inexpensive.

Looks like it’s stuck at 3:45 or 9:15, depending on your perspective!!

    OLD Oil Stains

This stuff worked for the oil stains on my concrete paver driveway. It does take some time before the stain is completely gone, so if you are in a hurry to get rid of the stain this product may not work for you. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EOWDMM/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Maxjax Installs: Post Here

From talking to a former Danmar salesperson, he reccomended using a rotary hammer drill as opposed to a regular hammer drill. He said that it drilled a cleaner exit. The hammer drill may cause the concrete to brake away at the exit giving a false reading when measuring actual thickness of the...

$6000 for an impact gun and socket, and it gets thrown around like that! Nice score!

Home security system DIY or go with the pros

Haven't been keeping up with home security systems, so I'm not aware of newer technology. My system is supposedly hard wired, at least when it comes to the window and door sensors. We had two motion sensors installed when the tech set up our system, but not sure if they are hard-wired or...

Home security system DIY or go with the pros

I don't want to hijack this thread, so if I need to I'll start a new thread. Let me know. So I have a builder-installed alarm system (2007 technology), and is being monitored by an out-of-state company. Can I convert what I have to a self-monitored system?

So you weren't assessed a fee from the PD for them responding and finding out that it was a false alarm?

    improve an engine hoist?

Point taken. It just looked like a crack from the camera angle. Didn't mean to come off as offensive. I'm no expert I'm metallurgy, and can't weld if my life depended on it (not yet at least), so I would probably just replace the arm. Again no offense intended. That's an awesome lift in the...

    improve an engine hoist?

Thanks for pointing that out. I glossed right over that part of the thread. I should've left out the question about using the bolt as it was intended. Didn't mean to sound condescending. With that, my first question remains relevant re. using that lift when it shows signs of damage. I'm sure...
