I thought about trying Aliexpress, but their shipping can take a long time and I was in a bit of a hurry since I am in the middle of an engine swap. I agree that the u cups are a better solution.

Almost everything that I have seen that is made in China is metric. The real problem is that the u cup seals are a different shape from the originals as can be seen in the photo in the original post. In all my searching I never saw a seal like the originals anywhere from a North American source...

Last year my inexpensive no-name engine hoist showed signs of a leaky seal to the point that the arm would descend under its own weight. (hoist) I took it apart and tried to find a replacement seal for the cylinder. I could find nothing that looked the same either locally or on the internet...
