Uhh...no anxiety...just common sense to read through a thread. Also people are subscribed to threads and receive notifications for no good reason other than someone wants to put in their two cents far too late. If there really was more good information rolling in then great, but this thread...
Seriously, please read earlier posts!!!!!!! SKF bearings were already purchased and as a matter of fact have already shipped. This matter is closed!
I dont see how i can close this thread unfortunately. if someone knows a way please let me know.
I like supporting local business and getting the item the same day, but I called the only two places near me this morning and they were both nearly 3 times the price of what I could get on eBay. I don't mind paying a little more, but not that much more. eBay is also free shipping to my door...
I would think that double shielding would be best but I also need to find a configuration that is as QUIET as possible.
And when i spoke of them being expensive, I was talking about hybrid bearings. From what I can see you did not post any hybrid bearings which are metal casings with ceramic...
First, I know nothing about bearings...after being lost in a sea of configurations I need a bit of help.
I am refurbishing a standard 16 1/2" Delta drill press and putting a VFD/3ph motor setup on it. While I have it all apart I want to replace the stock bearings which are still in decent...
Thats more in line with what I was thinking. I do not like the flat ways on Atlas lathes but I need to stay on the lighter side (something easier to move around) and the last time I owned one of these I was satisfied seeing as how my machining needs are limited.
Also, this is what is available...
I am in the market for an older american made lathe and came across this machine. The owner wants $1100 which seems extremely high to me. It has been a few years since i restored one of these and I don't remember them going for nearly that much unless restored. This doesn't even have a quick...
I am in the Portland, OR area. Problem is I dont have the tools to construct this thing. I am not a welder. If i paid to have someone weld the two end caps to the center, feet (or base ring), top plate (w/slots) and all the different flanges/plugs, I am looking at a pretty penny. I also...
The standard dimensions for an 80 gallon tank are 24" diameter by 46" height. I have seen pictures of compressors with tanks that are more like 28" diameter by 34" height. This is what I am looking for.
Unfortunately I cannot find manufacturers who sell these. Just wondering if anyone has an...
I need an air dryer that handles at least 32 CFM for my Quincy QR350 compressor but I don't need anywhere near this size air dryer (150 SCFM). But I have an opportunity to get a new 2009 (still in crate) model for $900-1000.
Think its worth it, or is it to much overkill (I know, there is no...
Yeh, I have seen that style before. I guess I was just thinking that the Quincy is so much taller than the dual piston setup like that. Probably wouldnt matter much as you say.
Now i just need to find a 120 vert. tank.
Thanks
If i can find a vertical 120G tank, that was my plan. I am still a little leery though. Thats nearly 500lbs sitting up there. Nothing to be trifled with. Thats why I was qurious as to whether or not anyone else has done it.
