    2post lift with low vehicles??

    I have an older Rotary 2 post lift as well. I use set of 2x10 ramps a couple feet long for my low car. I used to have paint makes on the floor to take the guess work out of where to place them, but those only lasted a year or so before they wore off.

    I admit it might be tight in my garage for most cars. Thankfully I drive little cars that fit in nicely.

    Lets see your workbench

    I have an 8' craftsman bench placed directly in front of my lift bay. It's decent but lacks lateral stability. I'm planning on bracing the legs a bit before mounting a vice on it.

    adding a pocket in my ceiling...

    When I installed a lift in my garage my problem was the trusses were running perpendicular to the upper crossbar of the lift. I fixed the problem by installing lvl's to support the roof. Here is a picture that gives a vague idea of what was done. If wanted, I can take more pictures from above...
