In 20 years it will be your gimmick. I worked with a guy for a time, he was an owner/operator of a pink log truck. I asked him why a pink truck, he said when he got started he'd purchased an older truck from an outfit that had red trucks, the paint was all oxidized and instead of buffing it...

Made in North America Industrial Tool Box? Rousseau, Proto, Tool Truck?

millwright you say? My late son was a millwright/machinist, he used one of those big Knaack workstation boxes on the north slope. He never had to move it around, it sat in the same corner of the same shop for about 10 years. It may even still be there as a coworker purchased it after he...

Snapon Master Series Changing Trim Color?

doesn't look too bad really. different. I'd use it. The large bottom left drawer I use for cases, same with the deeper drawer at the bottom. Cases, sets like slide hammers, big sockets, etc.

Looking for feedback on first "true" box - The great debate between HF, HD, ET, SO, and more!

Used, pre-owned, pre-loved, almost repo'd, whatever they call it over there. Used Snap-on boxes. https://nh.craigslist.org/d/for-sale/search/sss?query=snap-on&sort=rel I have had nearly every brand over the years as a pro mechanic, my late son's Snap-on is still in my smaller shop. There...

HF US General Boxes, Are They Worth It?

my son has a 72" Snap-on KRL that is hell for stout, we looked at the US Generals and they just are not even what new Craftsmans are. Older Craftsman professional line boxes are much better. Harbor Freight's prices are not giveaways either, I think I will look for a good US built used box...

    Recommendations on a Farm Tractor

You are most welcome, I'm relatively new here but hope to add a couple cents worth of knowledge from time to time. :) I prefer Deere for three main reasons: 1. Dealer network--our local dealer network is huge, covering Washington and Oregon. Over 30 stores. 2. Parts support and...

my brother was a heavy equipment mechanic for years until his passing. He left me a huge box of Snap-on, MAC, Proto, Matco, Cornwell, Craftsman, Lisle, NAPA, Harbor Freight, Wisdom, Truecraft, "chrome vanadium", and a host of others. He used to say each and every brand had something that...

    Recommendations on a Farm Tractor

There are advantages and disadvantages to each brand. Depending on your exact requirements, one could be far better than the other. However, overall, for newer machines the dealer is important almost moreso than the make. I prefer Deere but are they going to be the most expensive option...
