    What am I thinking?

I have a 30x40 with one 18' garage door and a man door next to it on the 30' end facing south towards my house. With the equipment needed and two cars in the building to do restoration work I would think it to be a little tight, doable, but tight. Here is my lay-out, maybe not the best, but is...

    Romex bent too tight?

Unless you are south of the equator, then just the opposite. Same disclaimer as tdk.

New Stuff coming ! for the Truck king pin!!

Having the press cart mounted with an air over hydraulic lever/pedal is kind of slick. Nice tool for a busy truck shop. Balancing my press on the pin's head and operating the pump by hand has never really been a problem, but if a shop needed a press, that one is nice.

    Western WI Toybox

Nice pole barn. If you get a chance could you post a picture or two of the barn lights in the daylight, especially the mount detail through the steel. I am a little south of you, in Trempealeau, next to the Mississippi river. I built a 30x40 with a 18x8 and man-door on the gable side and...

Neglected century barn is becoming my workshop and garage

Re: Time to build my shop and I am going to need some help I have transferred that thing from tool box to tool box over the years and have never used it. The hammer is now over 40 years old and I remember using a now old South Bend nine inch like yesterday. Nice place you have there, my...

Neglected century barn is becoming my workshop and garage

Re: Time to build my shop and I am going to need some help Ahh, memories of the tapered steel hammer handle of those high school days gone by. Thanks for stirring the memory.

Could use some quick level headed car related input from my friends here

Hi, sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with your wifes car. Some good advice has been shared already. I skimmed the post, at work, so if mentioned my error. I suggest you look at any invoice you may have received such as one from an oil change or other paid for service. There...

What I built with my $279 Ebay plasma cutter

Nice little loader bucket for your 300 series. I was starting to build a clam-shell rig for my 54 to move many dozen yards of sand piled up from my shed's site prep. Your bucket mount idea that swaps the 54 back when needed is clever. I think I will work-up a similar bucket based on your...

    40 x 64 Workshop in Wisconsin

Nice shed, nice floor plan. I had Northland build my 30x40X10 last Dec. It was -3 when they started and -6 when they finished a day and a half later. One tough crew that produced a nice little building. Mike was nice to work with, nice outfit all around, I would recommend. By the look of...

    30x40 garage on a slope

If my garage, I would be OK with the compacted fill as you have described and agree that extending beyond the foundation several feet is good advice to prevent any ill effects due to erosion over time. I had just the opposite scenario, I had to have a pad cut into a 3.5 foot slope to put up my...
