I assume it would not hurt to run a copper wire from my new subpanel ground bar to a red iron steel column with appropriate clamp on lug? Since this new panel is on interior side of the wall it is 12” from the main support column.
I agree, just added that for context. I do not want to open the meter panel due to tamper tag from PoCo, I would hope they would verify correct wiring too…
It has this ground bar screwed to the R panel wall sheeting and the meter panel is attached to metal siding via unistrut. It is a barndominium so it had to pass County Inspector to get certificate of occupancy.
Starting on the new secondary sub-panel that will be mounted on the interior wall opposite of the existing sub-panel and fed thru a conduit between each with a weather tight seal. Everything look correct so far?
here is a pic of the service entry panels on the same building of which the open panel feeds my 200A sub panel around the corner. Is the GEC not the wire coming from power meter panel down the wall and attached to the ground rod? The cable feeding my sub panel has the neutral connected to the...
Yes, this subpanel is mounted on the same metal building as the 3 panels in one of my previous posts, about 45-50’ away, around the corner on center of North wall
Here’s the upstream arrangement feeding the subpanel. Power meter panel feeds the middle and RH panel. Then conduit leaves RH panel and goes to my subpanel. Ground wire leaves bottom of meter panel and goes to ground rod #1. Then a cable on that ground rod extends to a second ground rod...
So the Eaton catalog lists this cat no BRP12L200R as an Insulated/Bondable Split Neutral and a Ground Bar must be purchased separately. So someone removed the insulated cross strap between neutrals and the plug-on neutral strips. Then used the LH neutral as a ground bar but failed to move the...
I’m sorry mm but I do not understand your question. The only wire with green tape is the ground coming from the far right RV plug. The vertical wire going into the LH ground bar lug is from the upstream service panel and it has no green tape anywhere on it.
If you are referring to the third side entry wire from the top on the LH ground bar, it is the ground coming in from one of the 3 RV plugs, it was black (vs green on the other two RV plugs) and they wrapped it in green electrical tape...
