Yeah built in 1965... is it possible to run ceiling joists perp to the existing rafters? Its roughly 12'x24' and the only weight will be OSB insulation and the joists. Or instead of all the trouble do you think it would be smarter to leave it open and just insulate the roof.

By the way I highly reccomend downloading Google sketch up its kinda confusing at first but is super nice to have its basically a glorified paint on my computer but has dimensions which is handy.
I don't plan on using it for storage and as far as the garage door I couldn't believe someone thought that was OK. It wont be till monday or Tuesday but when I get my garage completely cleaned out I'll get some better pictures and I'll get my drawing what I have planned. Thanks for the help
