    wireless/smartphone controlled switches

I love zwave, i started with the idea i was only doing a couple of switches. I'm glad i went with a hub though, because pretty soon "a couple of switches" turned into pretty much the entire house. HA is a snowball, once you see the convenience of one thing, you just keep going. Sent from my...

Tool Cases - Throw them away? What else?

If the tool has accessories, I keep the case, if it's just the tool... bye bye case. I do keep all the systainers, and I've even consolidated a few random tools in a big systainer. It makes more sense to keep if the cases are stackable/compatible with each other, otherwise it's a pain to store...

    wireless/smartphone controlled switches

I have a smart things hub, a couple of echoes, GE zwave switches and some other misc devices, it's fairly easy to get them all to work together, and you're not dependent on one app, you can make it as easy or as elaborate as you want. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

maybe not a plot in the novel sense of the word, but there is definitely a narrative. That's the beauty of coffee table books, meant more for browsing sections at a time, not so much to be read linearly, but what the hell do i know about writing/editing, all i know is i'd grab the book and start...

dude, you should take this entire thread and somehow reformat it into a coffee table book, you know, with all that spare time you have in your hands. i'm sure you'd sell more than a couple of copies. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

i found that in google too, have you been there? i'm not looking for anything in particular. Mostly something "different" that what we have in the US. I understand that the woodworking chisels they use are either japanese or japanese style, would be nice to pick up a few of those. Sent from my...

So AVE just called out Real Tool for being a HF shill

My comment was aimed at the fact that he chastised a tool, yet, every user of said tool sings it's praises. Some people say that festool fans like their tools because they overpaid for them and they feel obligated, I guess there may be some of that. Also, if you google "kapex motor failure"...

So AVE just called out Real Tool for being a HF shill

there's been a similar controversy re:AvE in the festool users group for a while. A couple of years ago he did a tear down of the festool track saw, and found it to be under built, with a few "fatal flaws". Yet, not a single poster on the FOG has experienced failures around those issues. In...
