    Kyle's Garage Project

Do lighting first, then paint afterwards. The change of lighting (incandescent / flourescent / LED / etc) will change the way the paint looks under one light to the next. Even position or wattage can change it enough to make one scheme go from stellar to "why the hell did I pick that color?"

    Single car garage revamp

Holy ****! I know I've been "outta the office" for quite a while now, but this is smokin hot now. I can't imagine all the work you've put into this. For grins and giggles, go back to your first few posts and really enjoy the fruits of your labor. Seriously. The changes are unbelievable...

Lookin good bud... I like how the blue paint is matching the blue in your bike. Nice touch. I never noticed that before until just now. You're getting down to the details now, which has got to be a great feeling. Looks like you'll be in the clear before the winter weather hits. :rocker:

So... what are the alternatives called? On paper, these both sound like good ideas.

    Single car garage revamp

Another cheap suggestion on the floor (until you get your Racedeck, that is)... what about renting a power washer to get all the dirt, grime, and maybe some of the paint splotches up? Just be careful not to hit the newly painted gray trim. Just a thought...

:+1: +1 for painting the door. IMO, you might like to go with that blue. It's such a strong color, and really bright. You might be impressed with the final look. Going with white would be too bland, and silver (or gray) to match the rest of the garage would blend too much. Not boring...

    Single car garage revamp

WOW! That garage has come a LONG way from where it began, as in a gazillion miles better (yeah, I said it... a gazillion)! Can't give you enough credit for all the work you've done - good job! How much you want for the compressor? Where in IL? I might be close....

    Single car garage revamp

Derrick - great inspiration. I love the transformation of just-moved-in-storage, to something useful, into an inspiring garage renovation project. I'm just beginning to wonder what to do with mine. It's about the same as your used to be (ok, it's still post move-in-storage). Mine is...

If you build it, you can fill it! My build

yeah - i'll be the same way, I'm sure. I'll start buying more and piling in more and more stuff by the second. I'm sure it's going to get small fast. I want to plan some good storage space above the garage - that should help out lots for us. We only have 1 truck at the moment, and I want to...

If you build it, you can fill it! My build

TRC - just joined the group and found your threads... wow, sounds overly exciting. Sorry so much **** happened, but hell your garage is awesome. The garage I just bought (with detached 4 bed,2 bath house) is really dinky and needs to come down. I have enough yard for a bigger garage and...

    Circle 41

OK - here's an ignorant question: wouldn't plastic PVC melt in a fire, causing the sprinkler to be null and void?

    Circle 41

LOL - your 16x8 still makes my "1 car garage" look pathetic! I don't even have a portable! I'm so not worthy to be lurking here...
