Thanks, I mean it's a brand new build, so I don't think there would be anything wrong other than possibly a switch wired the wrong way (it would be the first wrong wiring, of dozens of outlets, the electricians have wired for the house). I'll give it a shot with the multimeter

Since they didn't reach out to me via PM, and they deleted their post, I think they figured out who I was. On BBB they have 1 out of 5 stars. I'm still waiting on credit card, hopefully it works out that way as it's the fastest way.
