Would you guys recommend the Dewalt 192pc or the Pittsburg 301pc set? This is for a 17yo who enjoys working on cars and bikes regularly and would be their first set.
This is a nice set and the addition of combo wrenches is a great feature. I have the farm and fleet set which does not have combo wrenches but it is by far the most complete mechanics tool kits i have seen so far for the price. Everything you need and nothing you dont. I still may pick this up...
Thanks bought metric ratcheting, and standard and metric regular wrenches. Got carried away so hope they are decent. They also have a vets discount for those who qualify.
I have this set and it is awesome. No filler at all and slides under bench seat. Blaines farm fleet has it for 30 more and will ship JIC no local store.
I've never had to put more than 25% down before starting work but that was years ago. Now some of the contractors I've spoke with to build pole barn want 50% down and 25% when materials arrive. This seems very high but its been a few years.
