This sound like your going to have to make a custom part. With either using taper roller bearings or bushings and a thrust washer since you need a bearing system for axial and radial loads.
What are you wanting to bend? The cheap ram benders are simple but IMO ****. A draw bender will give you far superior bends. I have a JD2 model 32 with the hydraulic cylinder kit and have bent up to a 2" .188" wall square tube with a 6.5" radius. I've also bent 1.25" cold rolled round bar with a...
I have had a Fein Slugger for the past 6 years and its been a great saw. I don't use it much anymore since I switched back to a bandsaw as my primary metal cutting tool.
Since your tight on space I would get a bench top vertical mill since it will do the same thing as a the drill press and mostly the same as a horizontal mill but all in one machine.
Had some time in the shop and wanted to make a backlit beer sign of my favorite beverage of choice. I cut the sign from 14ga steel on my plasma table. I used frosted acrylic for the translucent backer and used gold window tint to achieve the two tone look.
So a update on this job. I made a simple die up and made my first bend and quickly realized that this is going to be a massive headache to get the desired results. After contemplating on outsourcing it I ended up talking to the customer about slightly modifying the part that the ar400 gets...
I definitely should of had it outsourced, but the material is already sitting in my shop to make the 8 parts. If its double the tonnage of mild steel it will be 18 tons in a 5 inch die which isn't to bad. To make a die I would cnc plasma cut some 1/2" plate and laminate them together which isn't...
I'm doing a job that I need to bend 8 pieces of AR400 flat bar the easy way, the material is 2.5" wide x 5/8" thick and needs to bent to a 7.5" radius. My two thought processes to bend these is make a custom 5-6" die and bump bend the radius in my press brake. But being my brake is a simple...
Wow, what a great resolution to your issue! After reading about your issues I held back placing a order with them on some table tooling waiting to see how they resolved the OP's issue. I will now proceed with my order.
