thats what i was concerned about with my 28x48 build coming soon. I'm planning for windows at either end, but i think a gable dormer in the middle will also be needed, as this will be living quarters for a year or so. Im not a fan of skylights, they look like ****. Im still planning a visit too...

are you planning on framing the walls at grade, or with a knee wall? a lot of garages have a 2 foot wall to keep the rain water from splashing onto the wood and rotting out the bottom of the walls. with just a slab you could go with concrete block, or use the footers/wall and bring it up a few...

not an inspector!! just wanted to know how i can make it work. I helped my dad put in a floor drain 20+ yrs ago in his garage located not far from you and now its not legal. i will be creative thats for sure. i still want to bring the wife down to see your build to help ease her mind. thanks Drake

thanks for the info, i didnt realizes about the flip up trusses. im in manchester area, mind if i bring the wife to look at it, as we are planning out 32x48 build with those trusses. we will be living in the upstairs while the house is built, so im wanting to put her eyes on what "her" space...

nice build, a few questions...did you do a price comparison with home depot for the trusses and other lumber? also was 14ft room the max width you can get with the 10/12 pitch?

it is hard to justify heating the floor 24/7, when an average worker guy like myself will probably only spend time in there weekends. can the in floor heat system be set on a lower temp, and then have a secondary system to raise temp while working? i really hate a stone cold concrete floor.

Re: picts of your in floor heat set ups. which is more expensive to purchase and run, an electric hot water tank or an electric on demand set up? lots of good info on this site!!! building a 30x50 soon thanks
