When I got divorced, I searched for a house with a garage for over a year. It took that long to find something in my price range. What I found was a 40x60 that included a house. I need to tear out one of thru interior rooms the previous owner built and install a bigger garage door off the ally...
I took another stab at cleaning the tip and will see if I can identify it. I didn’t see any markings on it with my initial look. I’ve not had the chance to try it since that point either.
I’m cutting up a 4’ square piece to make a top for a small bench I have. So one 4’ cut completed which is...
Yup, I've cleaned the tip. I've tried different speeds too. If I run as slow as I can I get the same result. As I speed up eventually I lose the cut but the result is still the same with the slag up to that point. I've also tried cutting into my work and cutting away. I've got a new piece of...
I have a cutting torch that I rarely use. Bought the stuff new 5 years ago. Firepower brand ?? Torch is model CA35.
Doesn't seem to be cutting right. Cut path fills in. I've tried different settings on the acetylene and oxygen. 5-10 on acetylene and 15-50lbs on oxygen. I've tried different...
I live a block off the main drag. I collect oil in a couple five gallon buckets then strap them to a two wheel cart and take them to the oil change place across the ally.
Easy-peesy lemon-squeezy!

A third bay sounds like the logical choice considering resale. Assuming you have the height, a third bay would allow for the convenient installation of a lift should you ever want one.

Just snagged a 5 drawer cart and would like to add the Sunex side shelf. I read through 41 pages of posts and seem have missed the answer to my question about the folding shelf.
The catalog page here mentions two different shelf mounting types. Hook type and "L" bracket...
I've noticed the piano hinges on toolboxes and such but have never really had or read a discussion about the reasoning. No biggie. Just wondering.
Thanks for the feedback!

Tipping is something I hadn't thought of but I think as long as I don't extend the top past 90 degrees when open I don't think it'll be a huge concern.

I've purchased a Harbor Freight cart that intend to use for storing some of my welding stuff. i.e. clamps, helmet, etc. as well as another work surface.
I can have additional storage under the top if I put a hinge on it but I'm uncertain if I should find a piano hinge or a couple of 3" ones...
+1 Deals can be had. As jakemac said, create a list of needs/wants and make notes regarding pricing. If you're educated then you'll know a good deal when you see it. Craig's List can be a great resource. On the computer I use www.searchtempest.com/ You can search multiple Craig's Lists. I have...
