    Above 1200 Sq/FT Gearbanger's Shop Project

Working with drywall is a pain. It's messy, breaks easy, and looks like **** if someone like me tries to repair it! I've always pressure washed our fences prior to treating them, I love the look, and I can't stand grayed wood. That looks great, and the price was right! When you finish...

Any way to repair frost damage to concrete?

After it was poured it was vandalized three times in two days, so the surface had to be reworked. I really didn't want 'I LOVE CRAIG' in front of my house, along with skateboard tracks. :) Thank you guys, you reaffirmed what I had guessed...can't be fixed!

Any way to repair frost damage to concrete?

Had some concrete poured for new sidewalk a few months ago (city said I had to take out a tree), now I'm getting flaking, chipping, and top layer seperation on the edge of the pour. Neighbor said it looks like frost damage. Anything I can do to repair this before it totally looks like ****? I...

Anyone use rainbarrells under there downspouts?

Good thread. Here's my stupid question. In regards to storage, do you add anything to the water to keep the mosquitoes, and other water breeding insects, away? I know a few drops of bleach/chlorine/etc don't technically make it 'fresh rainwater', but it seems a lot of the systems on here have...

    Le Porsche Garage...

Wonderful garage! I saw it on the 911S registry forum. Hows the polished concrete holding up? I must have missed it, but how do you handle the heating and cooling?

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

It's always good to have one of the old dial phones around for when the power goes out. I've used Mothers' metal polish on bakelite radios cases to remove the oxidation, and get it's shine back. Been doing that for years. Something to think about if your phone is getting that nasty texture to it.

You hit the nail right on the head with that one.

And the race is on / GM and new Police car

The only Tahoes we have are used by sergeants....so they don't get much use! We have a few Explorers, not to impressed by them. No one else is either, so they get used mostly to haul bike teams around, or in crappy winter weather.

And the race is on / GM and new Police car

It's funny how the 20,000 car a year police car market wasn't big enough to justify keeping just a few years ago. Personally I think that many cars is a lot, but who am I to say? The LT1 Caprices were great! They were fast, had enough room, sucked gas like crazy, but Chevy dropped the line...

Love the bench. It's amazing how such a small design change can make such a statement. Your bench paint color almost matches my car!

Recent Garage clean...looking for organization suggestions

I would suggest throwing up some insulation while you can. Makes a world of difference when you're out there working. I used peg board in my last garage, it wasn't over a bench and I about put an eye out when I ran into it one night! Also, think about adding hanging storage on the left, or...

What have you bought for you garage that you "had to have" that you never use?

Re: What have you bought for you garage that you "had to have" that you never use? I remember when I used to ride my Monster all the time. Then I married a monster, had two monster kids, so now the Monster sits most of the time.....right next to the Porsche :)

Why did you decide to use butcher block? Is that table designed for something specific? If I did that, it would be stained with engine fluids in no time at all.
