Hope the Mac washer is good for you, I’ve had a Mac hedge trimmer for a few years, it’s better than the makita it’s replaced at a fraction of the cost.

When I built my sled I traveled 30miles round trip for birch ply. Well worth the price and the trip. In fact I've still got a piece left. Go for it.

As an x carpenter I did a couple of jobs at 24" that were OK, but I always wished I'd done them at my usual 16" centres. No particular reason, just peace of mind I suppose :beer:
