Actually, there are both 3.7hp. The 3.1 is Running HP but the motor says 3.7 on it. Also, there are a few other differences as well the craftsman is an aluminum pump with cast iron sleves vs a iron pump. I have the Craftsman and its a great upgrade from my last unit!

AW32 if your going to run it in temps above freezing as ATF has powerful penetrating agents that hurts seals etc.. If you have to run a lift below freezing ATF is recommended.

MAC is the only company that makes a tool cart that has the layout that I want in the size that I wanted. That made the choice extremely easy for me to make.
