Thanks - I'll keep digging into these Line Generators. I'd like to find something that inherently projects both directions or somehow that I can make it do that without "tuning" too much. They all seem to be cylindrical in shape - if something were flat to start with, that might be easier...

Bumping this up - also looking for an 8' folding rule. Looks like the Lufkin X48 is no longer available. Looks like the 3 meter BMI is still available, but hoping for one with inches if possible and I like the sliding part of the Lufkin.

mikeGT4 - Check out Swain Tech for actual insulating coatings on exhaust manifolds/headers if that's your main focus. It's not the prettiest (white crinkle coating is the best way to describe it), but it works very well for thermal insulation.

Mine's doing the same thing - only 2nd summer of use.
