I’m planning on leaving my open ceiling exposed and install white metal on the sidewalls of my new shop. I’m going to paint the ceiling first. What’s a good paint to use? The spray foam guy will have the floor and windows covered so I don’t think the expensive paint that dries before it...

So are you not regretting the black ceiling at all? It’s the color I’d like to paint mine with white walls(either painted plywood or white metal). I made a post on hear about the black and everyone was acting like I was crazy!

So I’m planning on finishing out the inside of my shop with ridged metal tin like the outside. My question is what is the best way to attach something like a wood work bench to the wall without smashing in the ridges on the tin. How are you guys doing random hangers on the wall for other things...

Looks really good. I’m doing a 40x60 building with 12’ sidewalls and complete open trusses. I want a black ceiling with white metal on the sides. Everyone acts like it will be hard to get it lit up good. Did you notice if the black hurt your lighting that much?

Thanks for the responses guys! I was thinking the black ceiling may not be to much of a factor with the new style LED’s. I’ve seen several people recommend the UFO style so I’ll look at them closer. Does anyone have a black ceiling in there shop?
