Prepping concrete with fibers for epoxy coat

The easiest way is to prime the floor with 6-8 mils of epoxy primer. After it dries sand the floor with a floor machine and 80 grit sanding screens. Simple.

Patching Concrete Floors - Any Pro's in da house

Don't use an epoxy outside. It will become too brittle over time and the patch will amber and yellow over time with UV degradation. Use a repair mortar. We have one called Sikaquick 1000. I'm sure others have one as well. Here's a video of a distributor in Ohio mixing and applying it...

If you have used Rocksolid, give me your opinion and pics. Newbie needs help!!

There's no such thing as a non-yellowing epoxy. There are two types of epoxy.....epoxy that has ambered and epoxy that's going to amber. There are UV resistant epoxy formulations that help fight the UV degradation but eventually it will amber.

Trying to pick the right epoxy floor, cost vs thickness

There's no such animal as a 100% solids epoxy. :) Don't base it on that.

    newbie question

Are you in Georgia? I'd be glad to meet with you and go through the process with you even if you aren't using my product. I will speak in generic terms. I'm not sure I can sell you material anyway. This forum is more of a hobby for me as we only sell to professionals. I can save you a lot...

    Rock-Tred

Quartz broadcast floors are more durable long term than flake floors, however flake floors are more popular today. Quartz is harder than vinyl flakes, and quartz floors, especially double broadcast floors, require more epoxy material thus making them thicker systems and more impact resistant...

Some help with staining my deck

The best product I've found is a Natural Wood PRESERVATIVE. Cabot is what I use exclusively on my deck and fence. Needs another coat this year. The last application was 7 years ago and I'm in Atlanta, GA. The key is to find a product that is a true preservative, not a stain, or a parafin...

    1st job question

Call me anytime. As for your question, the concrete substrate should have a compressive strength of at least 3,500 psi (24 MPa) and at least 215 psi (1.5 MPa) in tension strength at the time of application. Hope this helps.

Polyaspartic first weeks already performance concerns

This isn't hot tire pickup. The coating isn't lifting off the substrate. It looks like plasticizer migration or possibly printing.

    Racedeck over epoxy?

Racedeck is cheaper that epoxy? How much does Racedeck cost these days? When I installed it the price was around $3 per SF.

    Racedeck over epoxy?

My question is why would you do both? Go with either epoxy, or Racedeck.

Diamond Grind (did I do it right)

It generally takes between 7 - 14 days for epoxy/urethane to reach its full chemical and abrasion resistance. Good luck.
