    Craftsman Toolbox Value?

Thats not the same box. No where close. This was part of Craftsman's premium line back in the day. The step between what would now be the 2000 and 3000 series. Its slotted in between that. This box has posi-latch drawers and premium slides rated for 125lbs which the 2000 series do not also...

Take the sockets, throw them in the freezer. Once froze.. heat the outside socket only with a propane torch. Should free it.

Matco 88 OR Gearwrench 84 in an Armstrong Maxx?

Depends how tight the ratchet is. I run all 88s in mine but the TIGHT ratchets don't typically like the 88 kits.

Tell me what you like & don't like about your US General tool box

Utterly hate the detent drawer latches. Even on the Craftsman soft-close drawers.. HATE the detent. I wanna be able to lift and gently pull the drawer open from anywhere on the handle and know the drawer is secure by hearing that "clack" when the latch drops.

Give me your thoughts on 1/2" ratchets

Just buy this and be done.. Any MATCO 88 kit will drop right in it.

Does this count? lol. I have both 1/4 and 3/8 drive sets. Never used them. Just bought em on sale about 2 years ago.

What's your go to ratchet and why?

My go-to ratchet depends on the drive size but 3/8 being my most common used- Craftsman 2548. Best ratchet I have ever bought. VERY VERY low backdrag too.

How to identify Craftsman Griplatch in pics?

Easiest way I've been able to tell- Flat facing front drawers. The non-GL have a bulge at the bottom usually.

    Does this socket exist

I have a 15mm Armstrong one. Not sure that Craftsman had one as I believe their stuff ended at 13mm.

    Show your Armstrong tools

Yes, MATCO ratchets are now made by AJ Manufacturing in Illinois. As for Apex ******* off.. Its vulture capitalists that can piss off. Bain Capital screwed Apex over and people keep buying into the GearWrench hype.. If people only knew a lot of their impacts and hand tools used to be made here...

    Show your Armstrong tools

Yep. Its why I stopped buying Apex non-USA tools. Until they re-shore hand tool production.. I won't buy GearWrench branded stuff. Absolutely refuse to. For ratchets, I've made the decision to jump to MATCO since they have the same mechanism and retain USA made. Which btw- I do have a few...
