I literally when through the same series of questions last week.
My 7x16 trailer needed a face lift.
Torn between the variety of options and doing a cost/benefit/lifespan analysis I opted for an inexpensive indoor/outdoor carpet on the floors and 30 inches up on the walls. I painted the walls...
My wife- 7 months pregnant at the time- did roughly a 2 car garage without the trim by herself in about 2.5 hours. It took longer to figure out what design I wanted.
My research pointed to epoxy as a stronger alternative to paint. If the correct product is used and applied properly it is not just a color but a coating.
I opted to go with RaceDeck because I was worried about epoxies and paints not being able to withstand the number of tires I have on my...
I never had smoke alarms in my old garages- but after having a fire in my garage a couple months back I am having at least one put in and wired to my security system for expedited emergency help if anything ever happens again.
The white tiles came in and we were too ancy to wait for the installers who are coming today.
My wife- who I might add is 8.5 months pregnant is a testament to the ease of install for RaceDeck. I did the heavy lifting but she was determined to do an entire bay all by herself. Granted there...
Just after all the drywall and ceiling was removed.
The root cause of it all....
There were 10 motorcycles in the garage at the time...none of which had insurance.
Old work bench. Wooden top will hold the smell of smoke and the bolts and drawer tracks are rusting.
My shopping assistant...
Unfortunately the order was shipped incorrectly so I am on hold with the install.
We did get a check from the insurance company for the majority of the contents...so I found my way to Lowe's this past weekend. Pictures to follow.
That looks awesome.
Question about your lift though- Can you lift vehicles high enough to rationalize having a lift? I have 10 foot ceilings and I am hesitant because I can only lift a vehicle at most 2 feet because of the garage door.
As of last January (2013) a receipt is required for all warranty claims- at least so they said.
I also own quite a few tools from HF but have always treated them like disposable options.
Forgive me- I didn't read all 13 pages- but this is a great thread.
It sounds like no one ended up buying the Kobalt system. I am inclined to lean that way because of the wheels, stainless steel, and the fact that my toddler is not strong enough to open the drawers even when unlocked.

Flooring arrived.
Pictures of garage were not taken last night as promised due to having to empty one of the PODs contents back in to the attic so we don't get charged for another month of storage.
AHHHH!!!
My flooring will be delivered today. Very excited. Flooring means I can buy my cabinets and shelves and tool chest and **** to fill it with!
That means I need to take some pictures before we start the floor. Hopefully I will have time tonight.
