    Densifing and Sealing Floor

Hey Justin. Should I do a third densifier pass? At this point there is 1/4 gallon of condensed densifier in my concrete where it should be closer to 1/5 gallon. Do you think 1/4 gallon will be fine? Thanks!

Am i crazy to NOT coat my floor...

Why not just do densifier application and then a coat of sealant? Both are super easy to apply and it will strengthen and protect the surface. I just finished the densifier layer and it took 10 minutes to apply to my 400 sq/ft garage. You have to wait 7 - 10 days before doing the sealant but...

    Densifing and Sealing Floor

Did another pass and it soaked up another half gallon of the 3:1 mix which means there is 1/4 gallon of concentrated densifier. I assume that's enough? My neighbor was telling me that older concrete is more dense and possibly why it's slower at soaking up the densifier (it's from 1989)? My...

No, I haven't called. Sounds good, I may do another pass then. Thanks Justin!

    Densifing and Sealing Floor

Hey guys. Got all the cracks filled and surface cleaned. I applied the GS 4500 densifier and barely used any of the mix. I have a 400 sq/ft garage and with a 3:1 mix for priming, I barely used half a gallon of the mix. I would have expected to use a lot more because it says there is only...

    Densifing and Sealing Floor

That makes sense. I assume the polyurea layer would go on top of the 8510? Anyway, I'd much rather have a solid and protected surface so, I'll probably not do any polishing. Seems more trouble than it's worth and saves me some effort too. btw, I just realized the 8510 I got off amazon came...

    Densifing and Sealing Floor

Sounds good! I think I'm also going to add a slight amount of diluted Eco pewter dye to even it all out and make it look extra clean.

    Densifing and Sealing Floor

Howdy. Now that's it's warmed up I'll be able to finish my garage floor and wanted to get some advice on the process. Here's the plan for my 400 sq/ft floor: Fill cracks crack chase scrub with circular wire brush clean with simple green fill with quikrete crack sealant Seal Clean, scrub...

    Embedded Dust Post Grinding

Got all the dust up! The rotary scrubbing brush worked awesome. I ended up going over it a couple times but, it's super clean now. There are a few spots I'd like to scrub by hand but, at this point I'm trying to decide if I want to have the floor professionally ground. There are a few spots...

    shot blasting

Thanks for the input fellas. Definitely learning a lot. I got the concrete clean after grinding it with the EDCO single disc grinder but, I would love to get it all down to the bare/clean concrete if possible. You can see it barely scratched the surface in most spots. Spent 8 hours doing 2...

    shot blasting

Hey Repo. So, I'm thinking of shot blasting my garage floor (475 sq/ft). I've tried the EDCO single disc grinder but, I was only able to get a few areas down to the raw concrete even after doing 2 passes (took 10 hours). Anyway, wanted to get your advice on the shot blasting since it worked...

    Floor grinding woes

Hey CT. What's the latest? I've been grinding my garage floor (475 sq/ft) and had some of the same issues. I really wanted to get all the way down to the base concrete but, I can't get through most of it. I only tried the single disc EDCO grinder. Anyway, would love to hear if you had any...

    Embedded Dust Post Grinding

So, I poured some hydrogen peroxide down on 5x5ft area and scrubbed with floor scrubbing brush and got some of the dust up. I ordered a rotary scrubbing brush that I can attach to the home depot floor polisher rental and 4 gallons of hydrogen peroxide to speed up the process. I'll be doing...

    Embedded Dust Post Grinding

Dope! I'm going to call around tomorrow and get someone to do just that. I think the key is sucking it all back up after the scrubbing rather than just spraying it off. There is probably so much of the dust on my driveway at this point. Hopefully I will be able to get that clean too but...
