call corporate when this happens and complain. once you get the email that says ready for pick-up they are obligated to finish the sale. i have had them ship stuff from other stores when this has happened, or at the very least they will give you a gift card for your trouble

Thanks for the advice all. I returned my $69 Craftsman unit and am now the proud owner of 2 of the $79 Rockwell units. Can't wait to test them out in a few days

USUALLY if the discount shows up online it means there is at least one in stock at store. They usually show 1 or 2 less online than they actually have. Once an item is completely sold out, the online price usually goes to regular price.

Probably because your store sold out today. Once there is no more inventory the price usually resets back to normal at that store
