    New Screwdrivers

I've worn out a few the German makes and ended up with the following: Felo/wurth: Tips are soft/tough and tend to wear out fairly qucikly. They don't shatter or snap when used for hitting/prying though, which is nice. Handles are my favourite. Gedore: Tips are quite hard, and don't wear, but...

    Tools from the old world

You're right, it seems like its more a plastic factory. Wonder if all the shafts come from the same place / are the same, or it's different depending on who they're making it for. Or maybe it's more a bring your own, and we slap a handle on, type deal.

Cool, so probably Oplast then? I thought they looked a little like they're own kraftgrip ones. I have a bunch of gedore drivers from slovenia/oplast laying around that are pretty good, but i definately prefer the hazet handles. You'd think having "Made in Slovenia" would be much better than...

    Tools from the old world

Picked up some stuff for an advent calendar for my step daughter, who wanted her own tool box (with tools) for christmas. These hazet drivers were only 12Eur + tax. They seem nice, but no "made in germany" to be found anywhere. Anyone know where they're from? Also got these USAG ratcheting...

Welding 304 Stainless headers without filler - issues?

Pulse welding stainless pipe w/o filler is the standard right now in the food and dairy industry here. You need to cut the pipe very straight, and fit up has to be as tight as possible, i like for the pulse to be around 1Hz. If you do this, get the amperage right, and use adequate backing gas...

    Tools from the old world

Yea, that's what i was afraid of. I just figured since they were part of gedore maybe they were made in germany.

I'm look to purchase a new 1/2" socket set, and Carolus sets look pretty decent, but does anyone know where they are made?

Tried that. I can't even post links to images. Edit: By the way,the MODOK boxes are a light green color, slightly more light/pale than stahlwille cases. I geuss image posting is working now, or maybe it was a post count thing. Anyway, here is a picture. MODOK boxes are the ones in the back of...
