    Ceiling Drywall Crack

I'm convinced it's the temp change. I've seen a few buildings including my own that looked great after the rock was finished. One cold winter with no heat and most of the joints were visible. I learned that lesson the hard way. Oh and mine was heavily insulated before the cold came.

    Garage Mahals

I know a guy that has one of those garage mueseums, and that's all it is. It's full of all the cars he's done that he never drives plus alot of other cool auto memerobilia. But he still has a kickass "working garage" The guy is nuts though. He just keeps working on car after car never really...

My 2 Car 18x29 Detail Studio

Re: my 17x29 detail shop BIG "A" DETAILING queens ny Like I said in an earlier post. It's your shop, do whatever you want. but since you mentioned you are on a budget, rock is about half the cost of plywood and easier to work with.

My 2 Car 18x29 Detail Studio

Re: my 17x29 detail shop BIG "A" DETAILING queens ny Sheetrock is no harder to hang than that foam. Just a little heavier. Two of you can do it easy. Just buy a cheapo sheetrock gun and give it a go. You might break a piece or two but so what. It's a way better job than the foam. Edit: better...

My 2 Car 18x29 Detail Studio

Re: my 17x29 detail shop BIG "A" DETAILING queens ny Big difference. take a lighter to the wood for a few seconds and then to a piece of that foam and you will see the difference. The wood will scar, the foam will light up. It's your shop so do whatever you want but what do you have against...

My 2 Car 18x29 Detail Studio

Re: my 17x29 detail shop BIG "A" DETAILING queens ny Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the paint come out :shocking: That place would go up like a wicker basket. Not to mention your insurance co. would probably deny any claims.

Anybody know what these are for?

jeeze, I haven't seen a pair of those in years. The set you have is most likely military surplus as they were used extensivley on aircraft components. Can't have that stuff flying apart you know!

    Is my panel wired correctly?

mrb, the more I think about it, you are correct. If there is no path back to the centertap xo of the transformer, fault may not occur regardless of ground. So as long as there are no other metal paths back to the source he is OK the way he is. If there is a pathe back he has to run a fifth wire...

    Is my panel wired correctly?

Edit: my brain quit working today!

    Is my panel wired correctly?

True, but the same potential N-G still exists which is a worse situation. The only exception would be if he put in an isolation transformer. Pulling a new 5 wire feed may not be a feasible option.

    Is my panel wired correctly?

Please, explain? Edit: Maybe you misunderstood my suggestion. He needs to have seperate potential on grounds/ neutrals. His Neutral is incoming from the transformer or main switch gear/panel. This is the wire he already has. The seperate ground I state is to become/tie into his ground so that...

    Is my panel wired correctly?

No, your panel is not wired correctly. Neutrals and grounds should not be bonded in any subpanel which is what you have. The easiest way to fix this is to seperate your neutrals from your grounds, get an isolated neutral bar for the neutrals (the fourth feed wire is actually a neutral not a...
