QuickJack - for those of you wondering

Do you have the standard or the extended 7000? I've been wanting to get a set of quickjacks, but not sure if I could get one that would work for all three of my vehicles, I've got a 72 Datsun 510, a 66 Ford f100 long bed and a '98 Nissan frontier shortbed single cab. I think the extended would...

    A Decent/Affordable Multi-Tool

Cool, thanks for the feedback. Just a home hobbyist, but the right angle, jigsaw attachments interest me. They would have come in handy a few times.

    A Decent/Affordable Multi-Tool

What about the ridgid jobmax. I've got a $100 gift card to HD and was thinking of getting an oscillating tool. I've already got some ridgid tools and batteries so I wouldn't need to buy more batteries. And I like the you can swap the head for different tools, like the rotary/drywall cutter...

    Favorite smart garage items?

Good point, a smart smoke detector is on my short list for safety. Other than the nest, are there any that are worth the cost?

    Favorite smart garage items?

That's what I would like to do is add some motion sensors to my existing light. I'm probably just being too picky on the setup. I've got a 4 car garage, that had a "clean" room built in the first bay. Right when you walk in the man door there are three light switches for the three rows of...

    Favorite smart garage items?

Echo has come in handy a few times since the shop is in the back yard. Don't use it all the time since the wife is usually in the backyard anyways. I would love to get some motion sensors on my lights so they come on automatically, and shut off if they don't detect any movement for a certain...

    Ecobee Thermostat

I've got a nest, and uckily my wife and I have agreed on a temp, her mom (who lives with us) is the problem. She likes it hotter than we do. What I love is the IFTTT app works with nest, so I get notifications on my phone when good ol' MIL cranks the heat up, I can go in and turn it back down...

Server racks for home use. Basic info please.

I just picked up a rack from newegg, holds my modem, switch and network storage. I'd like to get some better ventilation for it someday, right now just has two computer case fans on the top of the case keep air moving. I've got another one in my shop I acquired when one of our buildings at...

    Dewalt Radial Arm Saw

Yes, definitely going to have to research it. Where is a good place to get replacement cords for this kind of stuff. I've never had to do it before.

    Dewalt Radial Arm Saw

Definitely on the list, I'd like to do something like what was done on the white one posted earlier in the thread. Really nice setup. Some day I may redo the shop and do something like that.

    Dewalt Radial Arm Saw

Well cleaned up the wiring, put some shrink tubing on and no more sparking when I go to use the saw. Now for a new stand.

    Dewalt Radial Arm Saw

Is that the standard switch/key setup?

    Dewalt Radial Arm Saw

Damn, that's a beautiful saw. Well I went to cut a piece of wood just to play around and had a bit of sparking so I took a look at the wire. I'm thinking fixing this should be my first priority.

Show us your cool, "old" drill press

Funny you mention that. I didn't even think about it until I was doing some googling and saw guys using scissor jacks. Love the idea. Just need to get one now.
