I have a small hammer of the 12-14oz variety and the only thing it says anywhere on it is ‘China’. I friggin love that thing and use it all the time. I’m guessing it prolly about 30 years old:)
Thanks trainer but it’s new stuff and good for **** ethanol fuel as well and is holding by its shape well etc.
I read that the valve leaking issue (which could **** air and fuel and create a starvining for fuel condition) can be fixed with tightening a couple of screws so I’m going to try that...
Thanks guys. The fuel pumps apparently don't give out often...
The extended fuel draw is smiler to what you have pictured there
I'm starting to lean towards a faulty fuel shutoff valve leaking i.e. sucking/leaking whenever I hook up the extended again. Mine isn't within the serial numbers that...
Hey checkthisout,
Man it still won’t siphon fuel up a clear hose more than 3”. I ran gallons and gallons of fuel through this thing on siphon before then it started coughing and dies now. Gas is definitely clean and dry. Gen tank runs it fine. Tighten gen tank cap to start siphon from other...
I’ll do that when I get back out. All great intel that was very reassuring thank you for that. I did drain my bowl into a clean cup and all appeared well.
This is a head scratcher for me but hey it still runs on the gen tank.. and with the help I’m receiving here it’ll get sorted:beer:
That is good stuff thank you 🙏 for that. Man I swear my line into the tank is clear... hmm, maybe I should put a skive cut on the end of my syphon tube ‘cause maybe it is flat against the inside of the gas can and inhibiting flow that way..? Definitely a possibility. I was getting tunnel vision...
There is a fuel pump on the 2200.. with a part number.
When the gen runs out of fuel ⛽️ there is still gas in the bottom at carb level.
It’s a 2 month old generator and the hose/orings etc are tip top.
I love my vintage Hondas:)
I recall that recal, lol. The fuel wasn't shutting off when in the off position. My TLTR post notes I'm using a syphon type aux tank. I'll have to find out if it can leak in the reverse in the "on" position when running.. Which would starve fuel and cause it to stumble/shut off.. Great input...
It is up more than half way the height of he generator but the tank used to be on the ground side by side and was great for several weeks:(
The vent was open but yes I sure did check it, lol!
Thanks a ton for the input. Does this sound like the fuel pump? There are a ton of tubes and gizmos...
Thanks Couch', first I fill the generator tank then the aux which is standard for good pull but now it will only pull about 3" up the line where it used to pull up and over... for days:( thanks for the thoughts. Fb
I might add that when I refuel the genny tank there is always fuel in it still which tells me the gravity part of the fuel is getting to the carb but the bottom 1/4 or so isn't making it...
The part that the fuel pump normally would be pushing; which also might indicate a fuel pump issue? fb
Honda eu2200i generator- extended fuel broke the fuel pump
Well not really but maybe it is the fuel pump that is going out on it now. So let me present how and what to get to my point...
I added a syphon type extended 5gl fuel tank to my genny. I made it myself and is very simple since the...
