Solus Ultra Value / Software Availability

I reached out to snap on, they said I can buy the 21.4 upgrade for $1000 or send it in and they'll repair it for $200. So I'm going that route. Not sure what software it will come back with, but $200 to make it usable works for me.

Solus Ultra Value / Software Availability

Thanks, I've got an email into snap on right now. We'll see if I get a reply, I tried once before years ago and never heard back. If I can get the original software for it, or whatever the last update the original owner purchased for some reasonable amount of money that would be great. I'd like...

Solus Ultra Value / Software Availability

It doesn't boot but it turns on and shows me a picture asking me to insert a SD card which I don't have, if I press OK it goes to a Utilities screen where I can connect the device to a PC or format a SD card.

Solus Ultra Value / Software Availability

I'm just a home mechanic, I have a Solus Ultra I purchased on eBay many years ago. It was advertised and sold without software, I think I paid $100 for it. After I received it I looked into getting the software for a little bit but I wasn't sure how to go about it without access to a Snap-On...

To each their own, the pricing is comparable to competitive products (Ernst, VIM, Toolbox Widget). Obviously if Hansen or HF work for your application that's going to be cheaper.

The socket organization was 250 and the wrenches were 200.

Yeah, I need to cut mine. Thus the unused border in the pictures. I plan on finish trimming it with a router though instead of a just using a jig saw, I did a test cut and it came out pretty nice. If you don't mind a small gap, they might sell a size that fits, if I remember right they sell a...

I haven't used it enough to really know for sure. The sockets obviously you can't take a rail with you like you can some of the other options. The wrenches, I don't really see any negatives.

Got the rest of the Tool Grid stuff I needed to organize the wrenches. All that's left is to put all the screws in and move it to the tool box.

Yeah, I did keep my Gearwrench/Armstrong/Matco pinless universal sockets and a couple of Snap-On accessories but everything else on the board is brand new.

I purchased most of it from toolsource.com but for some reason they didn't carry the 3/8 SKUs so I bought those from fatmonkeytools.com

Yeah, I'm real happy with it. I didn't even know this stuff existed a couple of weeks ago. I had Ernst before this and that was nice too. The downside was that small sockets took up too much space and large sockets interfered with neighbors. If you take your rails out this isn't for you, but I...
