    Let's See Your Garage Dog

It’s been a while since these two have been off the reservation, so we went for one of our favorite walks through a local state park. I think we all needed a good walk.. lol

You have a dedicated routing area? Dust everywhere!

I’ve accepted the fact that the router, even when used on its table with dust collection, let alone freehand, is the one that’s just going to get sawdust everywhere in the shop. I get out the big vac and hose after and just clean it up.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT 3,000SF Timber Frame/Vintage Truck/Engineer's Catchall

I’m subscribed! I’m in north central Mass and have a 44x44 timber framed shop I had built 12 years ago. We’re looking for land to retire to and I’m planning on another, this time I hope to do more myself. I like the look of your drawings as I’ll thinking something similar. Hope to see pics as...

Cooper and Scooby are ready to go out and play in the snow while I clean up the 4-5”s of white stuff.

    Makita Addiction Thread

Thanks for the suggestion… I haven’t taken the time yet to take it apart and look it over closely, but I will and give it a good cleaning. Hopefully it will resurrect, as I do like it, and will replace it if necessary. I don’t believe I’ve ever used it on drywall dust, mostly attached to my...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

A couple days late, but a Merry Christmas to all our furry friends.. Cooper having a quiet moment in his favorite spot. He and his brother have been just perfect pups, and are a true gift to us.

I Done Did It, Broke My Rule & Got the Other Red (Power Tool)....

I run Milwaukee and Makita, but when my old Craftsman 19.2 D-handle detail sander finally died and neither of those made a similar one, I checked out the new Craftsman, and sure enough, they made one just like my old faithful sander.. so now I have 3 brands I run. I always check all 3 when I...

    Makita Addiction Thread

Hmm. I think my XCV11 vac crapped out. I use it mostly attached to my track saw, certainly not even weekly or monthly use. I was using it with said track saw, worked first cut, then nothing.. slight electrical smell, no battery level light.. tried new battery and still nothing, but the...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

they each have their own heated dog pad in the shop, but Scooby still has to snuggle Cooper… They brothers that were rescues from down south, and I swear he just hates the New England winters. Even in the kitchen they insist on staying in the rugs.. All good until one of them farts.. 🤣

Help me finally pull the trigger on a router

Im my mind you’ve answered your own question… That bosch has been a staple in my shop for years. However, for quick jobs, my Makita 18v compact router sits there with a 1/4 round over a bit ready to go. So in typical garage journal answer… You need two!! Lol

Alright leaf people, what's the best way

Unfortunately, from what I’ve read, when they got sold to Generac they definitely went downhill.. which is really too bad. I owned a lot of their equipment 20 years ago and it was a top notch local VT company. Their customer service was still good when I needed some parts last year, but it...

Alright leaf people, what's the best way

Between the mulching blades on the deck and shredding teeth on the vac impeller it will pulverize leaves, especially dry leaves which I always try to wait for. Even just using the 14’ hose directly chews them up as well. It’s run flawless for 12 years now, had to replace the hose as it was...
