Pondering building a low buck spray booth.. ideas?

A friend uses this in a building for his booth. He also places a pieces of 4" drain pipe , the kind with holes in it for French drains, under the car and hooks it to a squirrel cage fan by the door of his shop. This gives him a poor mans down draft paint booth. He gets good results too...

    Wood Ripping Advice

Thats what a chalk box is for. No straight edge needed. I once got a job because I could cut a straight line with a Skil saw. I dought its a skill that will save your life but cutting up sheets of plywood with a straight edge sounds like a PITA to me.

Just screw it. 6" spread on the seams and 12" in the field. No glue needed.

    Vehicle Door Protector - wall

My Dad took and screwed pipe insulation to the wall in his garage. The type that is like a long foam tube. I believe he used fender washers and drywall screws to mount it. Super cheap and very effective

    Have A Vintage Wilton Vise?

I entered mine. Looks like its just a popularity contest through facebook, twitter. etc.. Kinda disappointed by this as I took some time and wrote a fine essay about the history of mine and how it came to be mine. Too bad that Wilton doesn't disqualify ever one who doesn't even bother to answer...

Spring lock washers vs Tooth lock washers

You also overlooked the wave lock washer used on a lot of German products. They simply push against and hopefully from the added spring pressure they apply, prevent a nut from backing off. Are we talking about products from Wolfsberg and Stuttgart or did anyone else use these?

Zip Ties / Cable Ties - storage.

I just zip tie the bundles together and keep them in a drawer in the tool box. I also dont keep a large backstock though. It gets so hot in the summer here they become brittle quickly.
