At work we have 3 rotary 2 post hoist and 3 challenger sa10 hoist. The paint on the 10 year old rotary lifts looks better than 6 month old challenger. They seem to rust super easy. I hate the lift pads on the challenger, the adjustable pads are a pain. I'm planning to buy a hoist once my garage...

Love the shop i'm planning the same build at the moment except 30x40.With your truck on the lift and the lift all the way up, can the hood be open or does it have to be closed? Anything you'd do differently?
