Cement board siding is a great product. It holds paint forever. I used in on my shop built in 2013 and have never had to repaint, still looks new.
Follow the manufacturers detailed instructions.
You need to allow space between ****-ends for expansion/contraction, and flash behind as previously...
MIne occasionally lifts unevenly. If it gets too lopsided, I put a piece of lumber under the lift arm that is lower. I lower the lift and when the low side hits the lumber it stops it and the high side keeps lowering. I do that until it is even, and then raise again. Sometimes takes 2 or 3...
Keeping the dust down in the cabinet was a problem I had. I ended up buying a Dust Deputy (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JP315K/?tag=atomicindus08-20) and put it between the cabinet and shop vac. Keeps the dust down without immediately clogging up the vacuum.
I've had 2 of their boxes for 10 years or so and have been very happy with them. I find them to be high quality, functional and durable. I can't comment on pro use, but I find them to be unusually good quality compared to some of HF's other offerings.
I've had my MaxJax Lift for about 10 years and this weekend I was going to rebuild the power steering valve on my '63 Corvette. I decided I should finally get some safety stands, that on occasion I've thought about buying. The problem is that the correct size under-hoist stands for the MaxJax...
I'm in Tulsa OK and my LG Minisplit has been very impressive in terms of its heat output in the winter. I have a ventless gas fireplace that I inteded to use to supplement but have never really needed it. The minisplit's heat pump works great. So does the ac, but Ive had problems with extreme...
I have had problems with mold growing (caking really) on the blower fan of my mini split.
I had it serviced and cleaned, but it was done poorly. Most but not all the mold was removed. I had them install a Fresh Aire UV LED to prevent recurrence, but does not seem to be doing the job (only 1.5...
DEET works incredibly well. I tend to delay putting it on until I get bit a few times. I used to use the really strong stuff, but don't love the oiliness and odor of those products. I have found that the milder stuff like "Off for kids" works just as well, though you probably have to reapply...
I'm considering a concrete polished glossy finish for my large working garage. This finish looks good, involves no new materials like tile or epoxy, can't lift or peel, and is relatively nonporous thus good for spills.
What do you guys think?
Siphon better than pressure pot for moisture issues?
I'm thinking about a siphon feed vs pressure pot blaster for outdoor use.
I've read that moisture is the most common problem with blasting, and using a typical hobbyist size compressor, this will be worse. Especially without expensive air...
My wife swears by the Rustoleum Painters Touch 2x coverage rattle cans, and she uses a ton of spray paint for her craft projects and antique booth.
I would also point out that the Rustoleum "professional" spray cans are much faster to dry than standard Rustoleum.
Brian,
maybe a typo, but you want a "residential" approved ballast NOT a "commercial" ballast.
Residential ballasts are required to have adequate RF and EM shielding to prevent radio and TV interference.
The GESB ballasts in the Lithonia lighting units are excellent.
