In a situation like this a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't think LN by itself is gonna hold it but that or some silicone to act as a sealant and either some redhead screws or a few shots from a 22 caliber nail gun and it'll be there for the duration.

I hate to be the one to point this out but one 2 x 4 on that left side ain't gonna work to support that door. The door casing on that side is going to be pushed right up to the adjoining wall and you're still not going to have a good solid bond between the door and the framing. If it were me, I...
