dope-tape-dope clean the threads, apply dope, 4 wraps of tape, then dope again. also schedule 80 pvc for plumbing is often grey. this is why the risers for the sprinklers are grey they are sch. 80. -dont over tighten the brass to the pvc, this could strip the plastic threads and cause your leak .
by the way, unless your grinder sees heavy use, don't worry about the replacement parts. and never use the wrenches to install the discs. just hand tight and you will never have trouble getting them back off. all grinders that ive seen will tighten with the rotation.

im looking for a manual for my Ingersoll Rand model B compressor. Tank has a date mark of 1936, and appears to be the original tank. cant find info on the compressor. will try to post pics of the unit later.
