Hello - well in the military -Uncle Sam made sure his name was stamped on everything -even your G.I. underwear had a stamp - I looked over this coffin toolbox and no U.S. marking or manufacture name. puzzled - I'm located in the Midwest and can ask some older farmers and vintage tractor...
Only had this for a short time (wife bought it for me at an estate sale) unsure of the age, no maker's mark on this tool box (owners name is on the brass) guessing the roaring twenties! Cheers
Thanks for the welcome - lots of interesting people and tools my vice is 3 inch great working cond /smooth motion and the vintage coffin tool box was found by my wife at the same sale for $15 - wow - gotta love that woman - Cheers
Bought a craftsman 5160 vice at an local estate tag sale for $15 still has some original blue paint under the red. Redo project; used my craftsman grinder to remove the old rust and paint. Car primer and finished with a dark grey. Made in the USA to last.
