Nobody has mentioned that the 8Ah battery in this deal is the new tabless battery, and the charger is the top-end (16A) "turbo" charger. This is a great deal.

Here's a great deal on a FLEX impact & drill kit. $179 is about 50% off the typical price. The drivers included in this kit consistently test at or near the top of various tool tests on YouTube. The included batteries are awesome - small and light pouch cell batteries that really pack a punch.

This Bosch 18V leaf blower kit includes the new 8Ah *tabless* battery as well as a very nice 18V/12V charger. The bare blower usually costs over $200 by itself. This is probably the most cost efficient way to get a new tabless battery from Bosch.

Rumor is that some stores are clearing out all Porter-Cable tools and replacing with SKIL, but that some stores where PC has sold well will continue to stock PC.

I've read that Lowe's has the option of returning to vendor for credit so maybe they won't be going on crazy clearance as seen in the past. Don't know whether that claim is true.
