Used SK tools in the 80's when I worked on OTR truck and trailers. They held up better than others I had and I'd love to have another set of SK tools of any kind.
My humble opinion, you have problems under the slab going on. Settling of the ground(may not have been compacted enough or the right way). I believe this would cause your wall bowing, nothing to support it. The piers deal is just a band-aid in my opinion. You probably are gonna have to excavate...
Just some advice, insulate the walls while you have it bare bones. I moved too quickly and now it's gonna be a real PITA! I live outside Chatt. TN so I'm familiar with the temps you might be incurring. I too have a 30x40 but mine is metal, very hot in the summer opposite in the winter.
How about a 1' piece of diamond plate looking material or maybe some other kind of material that will take being accidentally run into. Just thinking of possible problems in the future.
Oh BTW I am meaning for the bottom 1' and then 8' of your paneling.
I would take 1/4 inch osb or whatever and make a pattern to match the arch. Get some 2x2's and make your bars cutting them to length needed. Run "bars"(2x2's) across for supports and looks. Look at wrought iron hinges and maybe figure out a similar hinge to make it work. Attach hinges where your...
Paid $3980.00 for total tear off, removal of turbines and new decking in their place and ridge vent. Lowes about $27 a bundle. I thought it was a good deal. One place wanted 11k. Oh it was GAF Architectal Charcoal Laminated.
What I did with my 24ft extension ladder is two cheap ladder hooks on the ceiling on one end. On the other end I put a pulley on the signal and another next to the wall directly across from the first one. I ran a cable thru the pulleys from the ladder down to a boat winch mounted in the wall...
I have a 30'wide x 40' long. I have 3 vehicles, 14 Ram 1500,05 T&C van and a 72 Charger. I can fit the Ram and van together in one bay or the Charger and van. Charger and Ram, barely. Short of it, go 30x40 you won't regret it.
You can fit the car easily but car and trailer? Only if the car is on the trailer IMHO. Looks like you're gonna have to put boards extending to the ground at your neighbor's fence. Probably 1x10 or better yet 2x10's PT. As for the pedestal, put boards around it to protect it, then go ahead with...
