Thanks, that's helpful. If I understand correctly, now the front crossbar and ramps will be ~1.5" off the front of the concrete - do you need to support the crossbar when that happens, and what did you do about ramps? Can you post a photo to help visualize?
Thanks!
I've had a BendPak HD-7W for a few years and want to bolt it to the floor now. Over the length of the lift, I have a drop of about 1.5".
I called BendPak and they said the shims they could sell me are approximately $1, and would provide 1/2" lift. If I wanted to shim more than that, the manual...
@zevo, here's the current status:
I confirmed with BendPak support that the cable retaining bolts were missing from my setup. They gave me the specs and I bought them from McMaster Carr rather than from their service line. I feel they should have comped me them but since they didn't offer I...
@MrSurly, I don't have a photo of the side of the cable anchors right now - the lift is down on the ground now. But attached is a photo of the piston as it was when I got an oil shower.
To be clear, no oil came out around or near the piston - it all sprayed out from behind the lock release...
Thanks for reaching out @jsk, I sent you a PM.
I was in touch with Bendpak support today - they confirmed the bolts for the cable anchors are missing (guess the installers forgot them?) and sent me the specs for the correct bolts. I'm not sure how I'll get the bracket back into shape - I'm...
this is an interesting question, I was wondering the same thing. I don't have two bolt holes, only one. But also I didn't install it myself, I had an installer put it together for me, so I didn't notice this until it happened.
I'll dig out my manual and see what it says.
I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to chime in. I bought a Bendpak HD-7W two years ago based on the brands reputation. A few weeks ago I had an issue where the cables popped out of the underside of the ramp. It looks like one of the retaining clips in the ramp is bent alarmingly...
I'm thinking of getting some Maxline, the photos you've posted here are great inspiration.
I've read black iron or aluminum piping is better to get the water to condense out of the air, and plastic piping won't do the same thing. Have you had any trouble with moisture?
