2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

Yesterday's Estate Sale ended up being pretty good. All the pliers are Bell System/SWBT marked except the little pair on the left, and all are in very good condition. First four sets are Klein, then Crescent and Utica. The Tweezers are also Bell System marked. Top left are a Canuck Tobacco...

Someone else posted some a page or two back, but this was my first time finding them in the wild. I usually grab any tweezers that seem to be good quality. Once they make it to the bottom of the can/bucket/bag I’m using at a sale, I don’t usually end up “paying” for them.

Here are some finds from today’s estate sale. Top: two different pairs of tweezers. (I actually didn’t know these were Bell System til I got home.) Bottom: Utica, Not sure what they are called or for, but I have another pair I use all the time. Crescent long nose. Klein long nose, Klein...

Show us your Vintage Automobile Paraphernalia

Not sure if this should be here or with the paper goods, but it looked like mostly magazines over there.

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

Hit a few sales today, didn’t find much and only spent $13 total I think. Proto Ring Compressor, Chicago Northwestern Railroad and GTE mugs, a few dvds, Salem playing cards, cassette Walkman, a very dubious looking flashlight, some dremel disks, bronze 3lb hammer, Master Lock 150, Hurd Navy...

    Bell system

Oddly enough, I was at an estate sale today and the gentleman must have worked for GTE because there were a ton of different mugs, even a milk glass FireKing from a GTE training event. I only grabbed this one based on appearance. The only other Telcom related item was a Brown Slimline handset...

Kind of a neat Bell Related find today. General Telephone and Electronics trucker hat. They were independent and purchasing other telco companies until Bell Atlantic acquired them in 2000.

Found these two beauties for $0.99 each. I have developed a bit of a vintage stapler collection and I'm not sure why.

    VEVOR pass/fail

I’ve got a few Vevor things. I’ve had their welding table for a couple years. Same as the Titanium from HF aside from the accessories and has worked well for me. I also just got one of the inflatable jacks and really like it. Its great for my garden tractor as well as vehicles.

Thanks, I'm not sure if I ever shared anything here, but I ended up with thousands of matchbooks and covers, There are some pretty neat ones for some other tool/supply houses as well.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Made the pick needed to pick this monster open. Sargent & Greenleaf 0881 Environmental. Kind of concerning that these are securing a lot of important things since picking it isn’t that difficult if you know how Disc Detainer locks work. But a lot of cool weatherproofing/anti-corrosion...

Here are a few non-tool Bell things I’ve come across. First, an Illinois Bell 1949 pocket calendar Some matchbook covers. The pink and yellow are salesman samples/proofs and never had matches in them. They did make it into production because I have a few full ones. Third is a Pacific...

    M. Klein & Sons

Anyone have any info on Klein Stamped locks? These are not my photo's, they are from a current eBay listing I ran across in a search for Chicago Lock Co padlocks. No visible manufacturer, but no photo of the cylinder either. I wouldn't think Klein made these themselves, but I most definitely...
