Is the rebar connected to the cement floor?

I see that your lift is set into the floor. Did you rebar it or just put another cement pad below the surface?

I looked at the HF. I ended up going with a US Made Lowe's Kobalt. Just installed it. Runs well. Quiet. Quality seems better than the HF, though the HF had a higher rated CFM. You might consider returning the HF. It is with hit or miss with their stuff.
