I know this is an old thread but I was hanging hooks for my bikes and I ran into the same thing. I keep drilling through sheet metal. I kept thinking I'm drilling through ductwork, but in one spot I hit wood above. This picture gave me a good idea what I'm dealing with. Thanks for starting...
So an update on this jack. I found a guy who bought one and never used it. It's sitting on a piano dolly. Just for kicks I asked if he would take $300. He basically said, "yeah sure". I'm picking it up in a few days at his hanger. He says it weighs 350 lbs. It's a manual jack, but at this...
You have a link? That brand sounds like a Harbor Freight product. BTW, I'd buy an alternative from HF if it was available. I have their semi-automatic tire machine from HF (Central Pneumatics) and it has worked well (even can change run-flats).

Hey guys, what do you think of this jack?

Will this work on a Ben Pak HD-9ST?
I know it's a manual jack, but I can get it for $500.

Thank you! I was googling my machine and found this old thread. I changed another set of tires this past weekend and the machine has paid for itself (finally). It's a two year return on investment since I change so many tires. It will now be all savings.
My regulator/oiler started hissing...
Good info, thank! Your explanation was clear. I can't see anyone doing what I did at a shop, but it works for me. I'm sure your method is much better.
On my 2nd dismount, I put the shovel too high (or away from the bead) so it actually didn't pop out. Once I had it on the turntable and got...
I've been using the foam cannon for my cars for years and never thought about using it for the house. Thanks!!
For cars, what detergent are you using to get a good foam?

IndyGarage -- thanks for your reply. I have a handful of 2x2 pieces left from my fence project which I used to dismount and mount a run flat tire. It worked so well that I no longer need to purchased the magic bead blocks.
Thanks for the tip.

I agree, you do not need a fancy tire changer. It's nice to have but not necessary. I had slight buyer's remorse when I purchased my tire changer because I thought I need assist arms and pressure rollers to mount run-flats.
You do not need 'em, though they make the process of...
I bought a HF Semi-auto tire changer (very basic - no assist arms or pressure rollers) and I can change low profile, runflats, low profile runflats, and truck tires.
Still going strong.
