    Thoughts on Reed vise values.

Have a line on a Reed 3C and a Reed 4ca vise. Both are in great shape, just some worn paint. Jaws are good and no cracks or welds/repairs. I know this is subjective, but what is an estimated worth for each?

Thanks Kevin, Where are you located in Ks? My wife and I are both Ks. farm kids and both still have family farming and ranching there.

Thanks, yeah the freeze was a bummer for sure. It threw my schedule all out of whack for several months. I have found that you make your own luck. I would have never found the owner of this place if I hadn't been working a side hustle mowing large acreage lots in this area.

Yeah, I can relate to your dad. If I don't have something to do I can get in all sorts of trouble, lol. I was also the same way when I retired, after 35 years I was done, done. If I didn't have passive income and no mortgage there's no way I could have retired when I did. Started buying stocks...

2 post vs 4 post lifts

Big new shop and trying to decide on a lift. I have room for both types but only want one for now, the other type will follow later. So, which do you have and what made you choose that type? Brand favorites? Thanks in advance!!

Apologies for the long delay for an update. We had freeze damage at both properties and ended up completely remodeling the house we just moved out of and replacing half the plumbing in this one plus opening the business, been a bit hectic. Thanks to everyone for your moral support and...

Nah, it's a drainage/utility easement. Big drainage canal and electrical high lines and a couple of pipelines.

    Unknown vintage vise

Well folks, the auction was a bust. The vise above disappeared before the auction even started. They had dozens of other desirable big vises, Reeds, Wiltons, Columbian, Simplex etc. Most were 5 or 6 inch, a few 4 inch and a couple of 8 inch. And hundreds of Lyons/Stronghold shop cabinets. And...

I'll try to get some pictures up this weekend. Whole living area needed new paint and some refurb on the hardwood floors. Been working on wiring in new lights in both buildings and some outdoor lighting as well. Most of the existing wiring was not up to code and everything has to be run in...

Yes, it is. I posted because I'm keeping a large portion of one building as a shop and that is what my future comments will reference. My fellow members needed some context of the project. From what I've seen, "garage" and "shop" are interchangeable terms in this forum.
