Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Every drive size has its applications and limitations. I have a 1/2" breaker bar that is 16" long. Most 1/4" sockets will not like the amount of force/abuse that you can apply with a long breaker bar.

    Garage in northern Norway

Great video of that dismantling job The lift was executed with the Pioneering Spirit vessel from Allseas. Although it is officially a Swiss company (Switzerland is landlocked, the sea is at least 100 miles away  ), Allseas has a Dutch owner and most of the (engineering) staff is from...

    Garage in northern Norway

I also work offshore, in the southern North Sea, about 50 miles off the Dutch coast. Last week we had some rough weather, not very common for June. 52 knot wind, with gusts to 62 knots. And the helicopters were still flying, I was already on the platform but some guys arrived that day. They were...

Why aren't the manufacturing jobs coming back ?

Good for you :willy_nil That worked pretty good in Iraq and Afghanistan, right ? :lol_hitti Let`s face it, the wars there were pretty much a waste of money.

Why aren't the manufacturing jobs coming back ?

I live in the Netherlands, the country (especially the city Amsterdam) has a reputation for drugs. But that just it, it`s merely the reputation. 8% of the people in the Netherlands smoke weed, 16% in the US :lol_hitti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annual_cannabis_use_by_country...

Giving new life to an old garage in Germany!

If you see a pickup truck (with a fleet-side bed as common in the US) in Europe it`s 99% of the time only used for fun/personal use, and not as a "work truck". The pickup trucks that are used in Europe are based on a van-chassis, and they all have a drop-side bed. That`s basically because it`s a...

    Monte´s "Garage"

Nice shop  In the past I ofted bought the Chrom und Flammen magazine (about US custom cars but you probably know that  ), they also had a Dutch version but most of the articles were copied from the German issue. Even on the roads in Germany (I love 500 meters from the German border)...

    Tools from the old world

Ah, a "klempner" working hard. My dad worked in Germany as a plumber in the 1970s and 80s, the salary was good for craftsman back then. My uncle also worked as a plumber in Germany, after a few years he married a German girl, and later he got his own plumbing business near Bremerhaven. I...
