What a let down. 24hrs later soaking in ATF and the cutters are just as stiff. I was unable to replicate the OP's success.
3 in 1 helped a little, but soaking in ATF didn't do anything further. I guess not all Snapon tools are that great.
Appreciate the help. We were able to fix the problem by completely erasing all the gate settings and reprogramming everything, starting from the open/close limits, followed by the reversal force. No idea why the reversal force was unequal, but happy it's resolved now.
Can anyone help me with a safety question?
I have dual gate operators (Lifmaster LA500) installed on a dual swing gate. The reversal force knob is set to minimum on the control box. On one of the gates, the operator reverses easily when it encounters an obstruction. On the other gate, the...
I picked up an Edsal storage cabinet. Problem is the left door binds/rubs against the frame on the bottom. Only way to close it is to push hard (which makes a lot of noise).
Is this normal or did I get a poorly made cabinet? Any tricks to fixing it? (other than sanding off the paint). It's a...
Update2: Problem solved. I discovered that there is a metal tab on the rear of each slide (drawer-side) that can be bent inwards. This prevents the slides from catching the black sequencing tab when the drawer is pulled out halfway. Now the drawers slide out fully without catching, and it's very...
I have the 12-drawer 450HS. It's basically a MAC Tech 1000, only the drawer pulls are different. If you're interested, check out Zoro. They sell them for $2300 to $2439 with free liftgate shipping (and less if you wait for one of their coupon sales). My only complaint is the drawers "stop"...
Is there any wobble or play at all in the shaft? How about the non stubby ones?
Zero side to side movement or play of the shaft relative to the handle when trying to create this movement with one hand holding each end of the tool.
The SSDMR4B arrived today. The shaft DOES wobble.
Does anyone with first-hand experience know of a ratcheting screwdriver with zero wobble? Thanks again.
Update: I found the black "sequencing tabs" that Conductor562 mentioned. They look a little different on the Proto glides, but same principle. I was able to completely remove the annoying half-way stop simply by removing the black tabs (they come out).
Unfortunately, the black tabs also appear...
