Here’s a picture of the work we’ve done so far, 2x6 rafters ties coming out and repurposed in new higher position. Also ended up repositioning the ridge where the loft is and installed a 4x4 king stud going from the ridge to the loft header.

Oh no I don’t want them lower, that’s where the rafter ties sit currently. You had them going from top plate to top plate, they go from higher wall top plate, to where I drew them to.

Does it change things that the rafter ties run like this and not how you have it in the drawing?
